A Family Pursuit of Glass & Mirror Excellence

Some entrepreneurs sketch a business plan on the back of a paper napkin in a coffee shop. For Gary Quaghebeur, his business plan was hatched in the back of a pick-up truck.

“In 1982, I was delivering glass to job sites. I guess you could say I fell in love with glass!” said Gary.

After becoming an apprentice glazer and doing commercial installations, Gary opened a retail store and warehouse. Love of glass was not exclusive with Gary. In 1984, Gary met his future wife and business partner Bev. She loves glass, too!

In their 10,000 square foot warehouse filled with glass and mirrors and with his wife as accountant nearby, you could say that Gary has all he loves at Wholesale Bevel & Edge at 11831 – 152 Street in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

Love of Glass is a Family Trait
“My son John joined the business in 2006 and is now lead installer,” said Gary. “He started learning the glass trade at age 10 and ended up a SAIT grad.”

Not to be outdone, daughter Jennifer came on board in 2008 in sales and customer service. Family members share a common trait. They are uncompromising in their pursuit of the highest quality and originality in mirrors and glass.

For the Quaghebeur family, glass and mirrors are both a passion and a vocation.
